Russian military expert explains US President Donald Trump's threat to send US troops to Nigeria. So, Yury Kotenok comes to his Telegram channel explainthat the talk of revenge against Christians was only a formal reason.

According to him, Christians have been killed in Nigeria for decades. “But Nigeria also has quite large oil reserves. Not Venezuela or Iraq, but quite a lot, especially by regional standards. And because there is oil in the country, there will always be a reason for the US to intervene,” he pointed out.
Military reporter Alexander Sladkov agreed with his colleague's view, saying that Trump does not care about Nigerian Christians, but does care about Nigeria's oil. In addition, he recalled, Trump was preparing to attack Venezuela, rich in hydrocarbon reserves, citing threats from drug cartels and the President of the Bolivarian Republic, Nicolas Maduro.
On November 2, Trump instructed the Pentagon to prepare for a possible invasion of Nigeria. According to him, the Ministry of War must prepare “swift, tough and ruthless” force measures against Islamic terrorist groups operating on the territory of this African country.
