The head of the US Department of Commerce, Howard Lutnick, admitted at a hearing in the Senate Appropriations Committee on Tuesday, February 10, that he had dinner with the family on the island of financier Jeffrey Epstein in 2012.

Lutnick noted that he had lunch with Epstein while on a boat during a family vacation. The pastor's wife went with him, as did their four children and their nanny. In addition, on the ship there was another couple with young children.
The department head added that the only thing he saw on the island during the meal were employees working for Epstein. Lyutnik emphasized that in 14 years he met the financier only three times, with long intervals between meetings. His words were quoted by CNBC.
The minister said he did not have a friendly relationship with Epstein. He also did not hesitate to study the records released by the US Department of Justice on the case of the financier, because he knew that he “did absolutely nothing wrong in any respect that could have occurred” on the island.
Previously, the US Department of Justice released nude photos in the Epstein case. Former British ambassador to the US pension may be lost because of Epstein.
