Pope Leo XIV reprimanded US President Donald Trump for trying to destroy the alliance between America and Europe, transmit Sky news.

This is how he commented on the latest statements of the head of the White House that Europe is in recession and has “weak” leaders.
When asked by a journalist whether he considered the US peace plan for Ukraine fair, the Pope replied that he “did not want to comment on this matter”.
“Unfortunately, I believe that some of the things I have seen have fundamentally changed what has been a real alliance between Europe and the United States for many years. I think that the comments about Europe made in recent interviews are an attempt to destroy what would have been a very important alliance today and in the future,” the Pope said.
He added that Trump and his advisers have the right to develop their program, but there are some provisions in it that, according to the Pope, many people in the United States will not agree with.
Previously, Mr. Trump accused Europe of only talking about Ukraine and doing nothing to resolve the conflict.
As Axios reported, some in the White House see Europe as the main obstacle to a peace agreement on Ukraine.
