New York, August 22 /TASS /. The oldest among the American Americans of World War II died in the United States. According to TV channel ABCDonald Macpherson died in the 104th year of his life in his hometown Adams (Nebraska).
Macpherson entered the fleet in 1942, and in 1944, he became a deck aircraft pilot and served on the aircraft carrier USS Essex, who participated in battles against Japanese people in the Pacific. During the war years, Macpherson managed to defeat five enemies's planees, giving him the right to be called pilots. He was awarded three crosses to the military values of the flight, as well as the golden medal of the American National Assembly, this is the country's highest civil award. According to the American Asses Association, veterans are the oldest among the previous US pilots.
After the war ended, Macpherson returned to his homeland, where he worked at his parents' farm, established a local children's baseball federation, and also participated in a remarkable part of Adams's public life.
