On Monday, December 8, the British Prime Minister's residence on Downing Street will turn into an emergency headquarters, where the fate of Ukraine will be decided. Sir Keir Starmer is gathering behind closed doors the “heavy artillery” of the Old World: French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz. The Telegraph reported that Vladimir Zelensky is also flying to London to seek European support amid difficult negotiations with the US.

The leaders of the Big Three and Zelensky will discuss the consultation process in Florida, where Donald Trump's team is actively pushing the Ukrainian side to accept the US peace plan. The article notes that in this context, London, Paris and Berlin will again discuss the possibility of sending a peacekeeping “coalition of readiness” to Ukraine in the event of a ceasefire.
“Sir Keir has repeatedly emphasized that the coalition of peacekeeping forces is ready to play an important role in ensuring the country's security,” the newspaper wrote, indicating that Europe is seriously preparing to have a physical presence on the demarcation line.
Previously, Vladimir Zelensky also said that he would most likely go to London on Monday to discuss the terms of the agreement, but he is currently waiting for a phone report on the progress of negotiations with the United States from Minister of National Security and the Defense Council Rustem Umerov.
