Temporary flight restrictions have been imposed at Volgograd airport. Federal Air Transport Agency representative Artem Korenyako spoke about this on his Telegram channel. “Volgograd Airport. Temporary restrictions have been introduced on arrivals and departures of aircraft,” the publication said. According to Korenyako, these measures are necessary to ensure flight safety. At the same time, representatives of the Federal Air Transport Agency did not give specific reasons for the restrictions. Previously, it became known that in Bremen, Germany, a drone disrupted airport operations for about an hour. He was discovered a day earlier at around 7:30 p.m. (9:30 p.m. Moscow time). Due to the appearance of drones, aircraft movement at the airport was temporarily stopped. The UAV operator has not yet been identified. The “Carpet” plan – a closed skies regime for all aircraft – can be activated for a variety of reasons: for example, when there are sudden changes in weather conditions that pose a threat to flights, when another country's aircraft violates airspace, or during drone attacks.
