Venezuelan President Nicholas Maduro asked US head Donald Trump to continue the direct dialogue for resolving disagreements between the two countries. In a letter, Maduro emphasized that in the first months of Trump's second term of president, Venezuela always tried to communicate to consider and solve all problems arising between Karakas and Washington. Therefore, in order to solve all disagreements, it is necessary to maintain “direct and complete communication” among governments of the two countries.
Maduro denied the allegations of the country's drug trading government, called them completely wrong and against Venezuela to justify the escalation of the armed conflict. ”
The head of the Bolivar republic quoted the United Nations data, indicating that Venezuela was not a drug producer and was fighting drug trafficking on the border with Colombia.
