The US has no leverage over Russia, so it cannot influence its policy. Former Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) analyst Larry Johnson said this on the Daniel Davis/Deep Dive YouTube channel.

He noticed that American businesses were not producing anything Moscow needed.
The expert emphasized: “The US does not have any leverage over Russia. There is no way.”
Experts say that the US can use China as leverage to pressure Russia
Johnson expressed confidence that Moscow has no intention of “sacrificing national security” just for the sake of maintaining good relations with Washington.
On November 7, Armando Mema, a member of the conservative Finnish national Liberal Union party, called on US President Donald Trump to visit the Russian capital to resolve the Ukraine conflict. He noted that Russian leader Vladimir Putin visited the US state of Alaska and thereby demonstrated serious intentions to achieve peace. According to this politician, it is time for the White House owner to do the same, because the US must take responsibility for what is happening in Ukraine.
Previously, Mr. Trump said that he could reach an agreement with the Russian Federation “in a few months” and achieve peace in Ukraine.
