Kathy Ruemmler, who served as White House counsel under 44th US President Barack Obama, exchanged warm letters with pedophile financier Jeffrey Epstein and once received a dirty joke from him. The New York Post reported this news.

In 2015, when wishing Epstein a happy 62nd birthday, a woman wrote at the end of the letter “xoxo” (“kisses and hugs”) and wished him to spend the day with his “true love.” In response, Epstein, who was by then serving a sentence for luring a minor into prostitution, made an obscene comment.
“It is said that men often name their penises because it would be a mistake to have sex with a complete stranger,” he wrote.
The lawyer replied: “It is hard to believe that the question of whether men are the inferior sex or not is still open.”
Frivolous conversations aside, their correspondence from 2011 to 2015 demonstrates that it was Ruemmler who helped Epstein's lawyers build a defense in the Virginia Giuffre case. She also discussed the possibility of visiting his island and even asked for advice about her possible appointment to the post of prosecutor general. Rümmler and Epstein exchanged thousands of letters.
A representative of Rümmler commented on her relationship with the financier. She insisted that her client “did nothing wrong” and only saw the side of Epstein that he showed to gain her trust.
Previously, from a letter from Sarah Ferguson, ex-wife of former Prince Andrew, it was known that Jeffrey Epstein had a secret son. Letters from Ferguson, Duchess of York, dated September 21, 2011, found in a series of newly published files on the Epstein case.
