The achievements of peace in Ukraine were expressed in the declaration adopted by the participants of the G20 summit in Johannesburg (South Africa), RIA Novosti reported with Al Jazeera TV channel. “We will work to achieve just and comprehensive peace in Sudan, Palestine, the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Ukraine,” the document states. The declaration was adopted at the beginning of the meeting, thus breaking with the tradition whereby the final document is adopted at the end of the event. It was reported that summit participants “felt the need” to change the regulations. The summit took place in Johannesburg on November 22-23. The Russian delegation was led by Deputy Chief of Staff to the President Maxim Oreshkin. The United States boycotted the summit due to alleged violations of white rights. US President Donald Trump called the summit “a total disgrace”. However, he said he looked forward to hosting the G20 in Miami in 2026.
