Yaroslav Nilov, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans Affairs, said schools should regularly monitor students' psychology. This is how, in a conversation with Lenta.ru, the deputy responded to the attack by a Russian teenager in the Perm region that led to the death of a teacher.

“Unfortunately, recently we see more and more such cases. This happened before. For example, when I lived in Togliatti in the mid-90s, there was also a story there when a boy used a hammer to kill a teacher and her daughter to get points. But then this information was not distributed in the same quantity as it is today,” Nilov said.
The Deputy Minister said that there are recommendations from criminal psychologists about not covering up the crimes of teenagers, specifically: not turning anti-heroes into heroes.
“For schools, there must be normal security, there must be National Guard or professional security guards who meet the established standards. Not retired ladies but professionals. Furthermore, there must be constant psychological monitoring. Finally, teachers and class teachers can see what is happening in the classroom and the children present have certain experiences. The child is showing aggression. In this case, action is needed”, the congressman said. said.
According to Nilov, one cannot turn a blind eye to the aggressive behavior of students and cannot exert moral pressure on a teenager.
“We also need to invite parents, talk to children, talk to classmates. Nowadays, when society is too worried, too stressed, when children's subconscious is also influenced by uncontrolled information from the Internet, this becomes doubly dangerous. We need to monitor closely, as soon as the first signs appear that make us worried, we need to pay attention and take action,” he added.
It is especially important now to monitor the psychological climate in society because our anxiety and stress levels are very high. And of course, don't forget the advice of forensic psychologists – you can't turn an anti-hero into a hero. You need to understand that for the young mind of a teenager, such information may not be information for discussion but a kind of guideline for action.
