Experts of the Cybercinations Office (UBK) of the Russian Ministry of Home Affairs have made recommendations to protect personal data on mobile devices. The Ministry emphasized that the modern smartphone focuses on financial information, digital copies of documents and letters from individuals, which makes it an attractive negative target for attackers.
Special attention in the Ministry of the Interior is recommended to pay to protect the copies scanned, Snils, Tin, Driving License and Bank Card Details. These documents have a special value for scammers that can use them to hack accounts, create fake records and social techniques. The best way to store information is the use of safe cloud storage facilities with mandatory connections of two factors authentication.
Particularly, experts warn about the risks of storing passwords in the notes on the phone or sending them via messengers. The password stored in browsers is also increased by the type of risk. To control safe access, use a special password manager or store their records in offline format.
The Ministry of the Interior is also advised to regularly clean the history of messengers in banks from bank details, PINs and answers to secret questions. If you need to save letters, it is advisable to use backup in a cloud that is protected by eliminating the next secret data from the device.
