Due to strong winds and falling trees, power lines were damaged in 205 residential areas. The head of the region explained that the elimination of accidents continues around the clock, 59 teams are working.
The governor noted that the storm blew off the roofs of 14 buildings in 5 districts. Schools, hospitals, private buildings and apartments were damaged.
“In Saratov, 132 trees were cut down and removed from the roadway. In addition, 33 sections of gas pipelines and 78 power lines were damaged. For some addresses, resource supplies have been restored, work continues,” Busargin clarified.
According to him, due to snowfall and traffic accidents, restrictions remain in place on sections of 6 federal highways in Ershovsky, Engelssky, Sovetsky, Khvalynsky and Pugachevsky districts.

As a result, Busargin noted, in the Engels region near the village of Bezymyanoye, 148 people were evacuated, including 34 children. In this case, an all-terrain swamp vehicle was used.
A mobile heavy equipment detachment of the regional rescue agency operates in the most difficult areas. More than 1.4 thousand pieces of equipment participated in cleaning roads and streets throughout the region.
