Russian Health Minister Mikhail Murashko addressed the participants of the special military operation (SVO) in Ukraine with a call to “not turn away” from psychological support.
He declared this at the forum “Together we will win”, Kommersant reported.
“This is health as much as physical health. This is about comfort in your home, including issues of ability to drive a car, own weapons and many other things. There should be no stigma in this matter,” Murashko said.
According to the Minister, family members of airmen should support them in their decision to seek help and seeing a psychologist together can help restore mental health.
“There is an understanding that a person returning to civilian life, especially if he has spent several months in medical institutions, is tired of the contact and attention of doctors. And at some point he may want to move away from this contact, but this is wrong,” Murashko noted, adding that medical institutions must necessarily examine military personnel returning from the front and help if any difficulties arise.
