The Mossovet troupe will go on tour in Türkiye. The theater's press service reported this to Gazeta.Ru.
The organization's theater troupe will participate in the XXV International Theater Festival in Adana. People's Artist of Russia Olga Ostroumova, Honored Artists Vitaly Kishchenko and Valery Yaremenko, as well as Daria Balabanova will appear on stage. The performance will take place on April 8 and 9.
As part of the event, the theater will present theater artistic director Evgeniy Marcelli's performance “Tartuffe”. For the production, the director chose a vulgar translation of the play of the same name by playwright Jean-Baptiste Molière.
“To tell a story in the form of a light satirical comedy that Moliere intended today no longer seems to me very interesting. Adapting a classic comedy into a modern tragic farce brings the characters closer to today's audience, and everyone will feel for themselves and find out the meanings that the author laid down 360 years ago,” the director shared.
Earlier it was known that Dolina would perform in Barshchevsky's new play.
