Manufacturers near Moscow will bake more than 1.5 million Easter cakes for Easter, the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Moscow Region reported.
“Regional manufacturers have begun producing Easter products for one of the Orthodox holidays. In total, there are more than 65 enterprises producing bread and bakery products in the region. For example, at this year's Kolomensky venues it is expected to bake about a million Easter cakes. Consumers are offered classic Easter pies, including those made from fresh cheese dough,” the statement said.
As a rule, the start of baking was traditionally celebrated with the blessing of the clergy, who held prayers for the start of business and sprinkled workshops and lines before launching.
