In Tatarstan, fishermen who risked their lives on the ice to catch a catch were rescued. The Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations reports this.

The incident happened on Ik River Island. The men went fishing when the ice on the river had not yet formed and its thickness was only about 5 cm – this was very little for safe navigation. As a result, fishermen cannot return to land on their own.
Emergency services used seaplanes to evacuate those stranded in the river – all fishermen were successfully brought to land, none of whom required medical assistance. It should be noted that for violations of the rules for protecting the lives of people on the water committed by fishermen, local law provides for a fine of up to 2 thousand rubles.
