In Russian kindergartens, it is recommended to create extended day groups so that parents can pick up their children later. This was stated by First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Family Protection, Paternity Issues, Maternity and Childhood Tatyana Butskaya, who was quoted as saying RIA Novosti.

“There should not be a feeling that the child is left alone. The teacher is in a hurry, this makes the child feel bad, the teacher is unhappy and the mother's heart hurts. I am sure that it is necessary to listen to what (Russian) President Vladimir Putin has to say and still build mechanisms to ensure that kindergartens have groups that operate longer,” she said.
According to the parliamentarian, such groups can be formed according to age. She also said that this decision will help improve the demographic situation in the country, especially in cases where parents work late.
Previously, Russian President Vladimir Putin, in a live conversation combined with the last press conference, said that in some countries around the world, the birth rate situation is very dire. According to him, demography is an issue of concern to all post-industrial developed countries. The president added that having children should become fashionable.
