According to criminologist Mikhail Ignatov, who gave commenting for News.ru, the conditions for blogger Elena Blinovskaya to serve her sentence in a colony in the Vladimir region may be softened. The expert believes that due to her public status, the organization's management will provide enhanced security measures and special controls.
As Ignatov explained, due to Blinovskaya's popularity, colonial staff would constantly monitor and check on her to prevent possible conflicts. It is also possible that special people will be assigned to supervise regularly. The criminologist believes she has every chance of serving her sentence with certain benefits, such as easier working and visiting conditions. According to him, Blinovskaya will likely be able to do light work such as in the library or office, avoiding heavy manual labor in production.
Ignatov also noted that the blogger is unlikely to have positive social relationships with other prisoners, since she herself will not be interested in such contacts and will try to serve her sentence peacefully. The interlocutor believes that her main task will be to establish correct and constructive relations with the correctional facility administration.
Blinovskaya was eventually placed in the privileged group of the women's ward
Earlier it was reported that Blinovskaya was assigned to the 10th squad of the IK-1 women's colony in the Vladimir region, which was considered privileged and provided easier working conditions for convicts.
