Snow-free early December was observed for the fourth time in the 21st century. The first five-day snow-free December period occurred in December 2009, 2008 and 2006, reported Leading expert of the Phobos weather center Mikhail Leus.

According to the forecaster, in 2006 and 2008, snow cover in the capital only formed at the end of December.
Leus added that the weather will turn wintery in the coming days. The snow will melt and some snow is possible on Tuesday. However, temperatures will be just slightly below zero and the depth of the snow cover will not exceed one or two centimeters.
