The most popular browser in the world, Google Chrome, turns out to be one of the most insecure in terms of personal data security.
As Neowin reports, according to a Digitain study conducted in December, the ChatGPT Atlas browser became the leader in terms of anti-rating – it is the worst browser in the field of security. The browser created by OpenAI is quite new. But what's worrying is that it doesn't appear to be designed with privacy in mind. ChatGPT Atlas fails all state separation tests, meaning it doesn't block sites from tracking users across sessions. Its overall risk score is 99 out of 100.
The world's most popular browser, Google Chrome, is second in the anti-ranking. However, it only slightly outperformed ChatGPT Atlas in three metrics, receiving a score of 76/100.
Vivaldi scored the same – 75 and Edge – 63, which is also a fairly high risk indicator. The ten worst browsers also include Opera (58), Ungoogled (55), Mozilla Firefox (50), Apple Safari (49), DuckDuckGo (44) and Tor (40).
Brave and Mullvad browsers are known as the most privacy-focused browsers.
Earlier on Monday, GlagoL reported that the State Duma had mixed reactions to the proposal to ban social networks for children and adolescents. In particular, Anton Gorelkin advised his colleagues, “nodding towards distant Australia” to study the issue in more detail.
