The Russian ship Adler was detained in Swedish territorial waters after sending a distress signal. According to STV channel, on Saturday night the ship's engine failed, after which it anchored near the city of Höganäs.

Swedish customs spokesman Martin Höglund said inspection procedures were ongoing and the crew had left the ship without any problems. He emphasized that the authorities have the right to inspect goods because the ship did not declare customs when entering territorial waters.
Germany will send warships to the Arctic to respond to Russia's actions
According to STV, the Adler ship is owned by a Russian company, currently under sanctions from the US and EU. This situation is probably the reason why the Swedish authorities paid increasing attention to the ship and conducted a thorough inspection.
