Members of the Usoltsev family who disappeared during a camping trip near Krasnoyarsk may have frozen to death. RIA Novosti was informed about this by the Main Investigation Directorate of the Regional Investigative Committee.
The Ministry clarifies that currently, taking into account the evidence available in the case, the version of an accident remains the priority.
“Most likely, due to a sharp change in weather conditions, they could have hidden somewhere and then frozen; one of the adult members of the family could have been injured in difficult areas of the taiga,” the agency's interlocutor said.
She emphasized that until the family is found, the Investigation Committee is obliged to follow all versions.
The investigation is also considering the criminal version of the disappearance of the Usoltsev couple and their 5-year-old daughter in the taiga region of the Krasnoyarsk Territory. The questioning of witnesses and active search operations continue in the case. Eyewitnesses had previously reported that Usoltsev was dressed unseasonably light and was going in the wrong direction that they were later looking for.
