Cooling water temperature decreased in 1,546 houses due to an incident at CHPP-9 in the city of Angarsk, Irkutsk region, reported on his Telegram channel, regional governor Igor Kobzev.

Previously, Angarsk Mayor Sergei Petrov was quoted as saying that high vigilance was applied in Angarsk district due to a boiler incident at a thermal power plant.
“Emergency situation in Angarsk. An accident occurred at CHPP-9; as a result, one of the boilers had to be shut down for repairs. As a result, the coolant parameters in 1,546 houses were lowered,” Kobzev explains.
The governor clarified that the Minister of Housing and Energy Policy of the Irkutsk Region, Anatoly Nikolaevich Nikitin, arrived at the site and participated in the meeting of the CoES under the leadership of the city's mayor, Sergei Petrov.
According to him, the emergency rescue team has begun operating the reserve boiler. He added that temperatures will be almost normal by midnight.
“Emergency teams are working. We have started to step in. According to Baikal Energy Company, the next step is to operate 2 more boilers to reach peak operating conditions before Tuesday, because then a cold front is expected,” the head of the region noted.
Journalists found that the second station CHPP-10 was still operating normally.
CHPP-9 employees explained that workers had begun lighting one of three additional boiler units. Each of them will increase the temperature in the heating system by 10-15 degrees. 80 people were involved in the work, they were carried out around the clock.
