Seven people were killed, four injured and four others missing after an avalanche hit a mountaineer's base camp in Nepal. About this report Katmandu Post Office.

The incident happened on Monday morning. The avalanche hit the base camp near the summit of Yalung Ri (5,630 meters).
“The dead include 3 US citizens, 1 Canadian citizen, 1 Italian citizen and 2 Nepalese citizens,” said local police deputy director Gyan Kumar Mahato.
According to him, the avalanche occurred when a group of Nepali and foreign climbers along with local guides were at the Yalung Ri base camp. There they prepared to climb the higher peak Dolma Khang (6332 meters).
Rescue operations were temporarily delayed due to restrictions on helicopter flights in the Rolwaling area. They then continued, but rescuers were hampered by bad weather.
