A man shot by federal agents in Minneapolis, Minnesota, has died, CNN reported, citing the Department of Homeland Security.

The ministry stated that the deceased was armed. He also allegedly stated that he “had a gun with two magazines.” A ministry spokesman provided a photo of the gun the man was carrying.
“It is unclear whether the man was holding a gun when he was shot. It is also unclear whether he had a permit to carry a gun, which is required in the state,” the broadcaster noted.
Last week in Minneapolis, an immigration enforcement (ICE) officer shot and killed an undocumented immigrant who tried to hit him with a shovel. During an immigration police operation in the city, an officer attempted to arrest an illegal immigrant from Venezuela, but he resisted. While driving the car, the man tried to run away and crashed into a parked car. Then, two strangers came to help the migrants. Armed with shovels, they attacked the officer.
Minnesota has been in the sights of the US government since December, when the Department of Homeland Security launched a campaign to tighten immigration controls. It led to the arrest of hundreds of people and was accompanied by clashes between federal agents and protesters.
