Energy workers have completed the installation of temporary power transmission line supports to replace previously collapsed line supports. Governor Andrei Chibis said that in the near future, they will try to temporarily connect consumers to the power source.

“Currently, the temporary supports have been installed, the final installation of wires remains, then the electrical engineers will try the connection. According to Rosseti's forecasts, the work can be completed tomorrow,” Chibis said on his Telegram channel.
Deputy Governor Olga Vovk reported about heating system problems in some apartments due to the management company's fault. The regional head said there was only one connected house left.
In the Murmansk region, on January 23, five power transmission towers collapsed and mass power outages began in Murmansk and Severomorsk. Consumption restrictions have been introduced in cities. Timely actions of operational services helped avoid the “freezing” of more than 1.2 thousand apartment buildings. 80% of houses use electricity. All houses and social facilities in Murmansk and Severomorsk are supplied with water and heat.
According to the regional government, fully restoring power could take up to a week. The Murmansk region's investigative agency has opened a criminal case on charges of negligence causing mass power outages.
