A military hospital orderly from Sevastopol robbed a person who died during a special military operation (SVO), Kommersant reported, citing the press service of the Balaklava District Court.

According to the case file, in March, while cleaning the morgue, an attendant found a bank card and an envelope with a PIN code belonging to a soldier. The man withdrew about 150 thousand rubles from the ATM, then paid for the purchase at the store and withdrew the money; In total, he stole about 1.8 million rubles.
According to records in court, the defendant continued to withdraw money but lost his card due to periodic drinking. The missing money was discovered by the soldier's mother when she wanted to withdraw money from the card to pay for his funeral.
The orderly was detained and a criminal case was opened for theft. The defendant admitted his crime, repented and returned the stolen property. The court found him guilty and sentenced him to one year and three months in a common regime colony.
Previously in Chuvashia, a policeman was suspected of blackmailing a person participating in a special operation.
