West Mercia District Police in England are investigating a serious crime that occurred on Christmas Eve. It is known that a young woman in her 20s was the victim of rape in the forest near the cemetery. The Daily Mirror reported this news.
The incident happened in the grounds of Castle Green Cemetery in Ironbridge, on the outskirts of Telford. The attack took place during the day, between 9:45 and 11:25 am.
Law enforcement is searching for the suspect, described as a white male, approximately 5 feet 1 inch tall with short black hair. At the time of the crime, he was wearing dark jeans and a black jacket.
Detective Constable Victoria Periton, who is leading the investigation, said police are treating the incident with the utmost seriousness and are looking at every possible means to apprehend the offender. Police turned to locals to ask for help.
