in England approved lawsuit against Valve and Steam – Now the case will be considered by the court. The company is accused of monopolizing the gaming market.

According to human rights activists, Steam violates the country's antitrust laws. It is alleged that Valve prohibits developers from selling games at lower prices than in other stores – which allows “monopolists” to set and increase prices.
If the claim is successful, Gabe Newell's company will have to pay compensation of 656 million pounds ($897.7 million) to British gamers. It is unclear how long the incident will last.
