CD Projekt Red could announce a new story addition for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt at The Game Awards 2025. Director Boris Nespeljak said this in his Rock i Borys podcast, citing several reliable sources.

According to him, the add-on, which was previously the subject of rumors in June, is in development and will likely serve as a link between the events of the third part and the anticipated The Witcher 4 (“The Witcher 4”). It was previously reported that the expansion wouldn't be released until 2026.
Nespeljak also clarified that Polish studio Fool's Theory, founded by former CD Projekt Red employees and currently busy remaking the first season of The Witcher, is working on DLC. The team previously released a modded fan remake of The Witcher: Rise of the White Wolves.
At the same time, there will definitely be no announcements about the main sequel of the series – The Witcher 4 – at the upcoming gaming ceremony. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt itself celebrated its 10th anniversary in May. For it, work also continues on an official cross-platform support system for mods, the release of which has been postponed to 2026.
Previously, the gameplay and release date of the Russian game “War of the Worlds: Siberia” appeared online.
