Last night, Microsoft held another Xbox Developer Direct presentation – its first in 2026! While launch expectations may be low, the publisher has shared some new information about some of the hottest new releases of the year. We tell you what we presented at the presentation.

Forza Horizon 6
The presentation began with new details about Forza Horizon 6. As many fans have already guessed, the game this time will take place in Japan and you will be able to drive not only along the streets of Tokyo, but also on the snowy roads of Hokkaido, for example. More than 550 cars both old and new await fans of car culture. The authors also paid special attention to a seamless multiplayer mode and extensive vehicle customization settings. Forza Horizon 6 is scheduled to release on May 19.
Monster reborn
Studio Game Freak is best known as the longtime developer of the Pokemon series, but this time the team decided to try their hand at something new. Beast of Reincarnation is an action-adventure game set in post-apocalyptic Japan, where the young heroine and her wolf companion must travel through lands infested with parasitic plants. Players will be able to manipulate the flora, and the main opponents will be wild animal-plant hybrids infected with parasites. Beast of Reincarnation will launch summer 2026.
kiln
Tim Schafer and studio Double Fine announced their next project at the presentation – the multiplayer action game Kiln. As the name suggests, the player must create clay soldiers using a magical sculpting wheel to lead his team to victory. Teapots, cups, saucers and other cartoon tableware all have their own advantages and disadvantages, and Shafer promises that they can come in the most bizarre shapes. The game will be released in spring 2026, but beta testing will take place before release.
fable
It's been 14 years since the last Fable game was released, but it's finally back. Players will once again be able to travel to the magical world of Albion, where every decision has consequences and has the ability to completely change the main character's life. Traditionally, the story would begin in the hero's childhood: the inhabitants of his village would be turned to stone by a mysterious villain, after which the orphaned protagonist would go in search of a cure.
According to the developers, the new Fable adheres to the traditions of the original first game, while introducing new aspects to the combat system. Players will be able to buy a house, find a job, start their own business, get married, have children… There are a lot of decisions, because there are 1,000 NPCs in the game and everyone has their own opinion about the main character's reputation.
Fable will understand things a little differently when it comes to its morality system. Theoretically, any action can affect the player's image, but only if there are witnesses. And certain actions can affect not only the characters in a certain location, but also the entire kingdom.
The game is scheduled for release in fall 2026.
