Keychron has introduced a premium revision of its flagship wireless gaming keyboard Q1 HE – Copper Edition. The new product has a solid body made of CNC-machined copper, an extended keycap and retains the TMR magnetoresistive sensor, but its price has more than doubled – from 239 USD to 499 USD (about 40.5 thousand rubles), NotebookCheck reports.
Keychron Q1 HE Copper Edition supports Snap Tap, Rapid Trigger, Dynamic KeyStroke (DKS) and customizable trigger points. The device also includes three connectivity options – 2.4 GHz radio channel, Bluetooth 5.2 and USB Type-C, programmable controller as well as screw stabilizer.
The set includes two sets of keycaps: black with bronze logo and bronze with black engraving. The volume control knob and other design elements are also made in a bronze style, which helps emphasize the premium nature of the device.
The keyboard runs on QMK firmware and supports the Keychron Launcher app for customizing key triggers, analog functions, RGB lighting, and macros. RGB LED lights are arranged below the keyboard.
The Q1 HE Copper version is produced with a 75% form factor, its dimensions are 327.5×145 mm with a front edge height of 22.6 mm and a tilt angle of 5.2 degrees. The copper case has increased the weight of the device by 4 kg, making the keyboard one of the heaviest in the consumer segment.
4000 mAh battery for up to 100 hours of battery life. Polling rates are 1 kHz when connected via cable and 2.4 GHz and 125 Hz via Bluetooth.
Previously, in China, company employees received golden keycaps as a reward.
