In case you just woke up: Grand Theft Auto VI has been pushed back again, to November 19, 2026. Gamers are expected to mourn, and companies have probably been hastily reviewing release schedules. Some, like Devolver Digital, are still bravely and persistently running towards the ship, while others may choose a safer path.
There have been no official announcements about other big transfers yet (Devolver, we love you) so players are waiting with bated breath.
For example, Assassin's Creed fans fear that Ubisoft will now push Assassin's Creed Hexe to 2027. According to rumors, a new part of the series is expected to be released after the end of support for Shadows, around 2026.
There is an alternative proposal – release Hexe ~ 3 weeks before GTA 6. Like Assassin's Creed Odyssey before Red Dead Redemption 2 in 2018, this does not particularly hinder the success of the first part. But RDR (we love you too) is not GTA (look at the sales), so maybe it's not such a good idea.
Assassin's Creed Hexe was announced back in 2022. It's a dark new installment in the series, taking place in Germany in the 16th century, at the height of the witch hunts. It's also more linear (and therefore smaller in scale).
The main character must be a witch named Elsa, who can control cats among other things. More details in the document from insider Tom Henderson.
