Sinop continues to lead the country: The most important production center

Sinop, one of the important products of cultural fishing in Türkiye, continues to be the leader of the country in the production of Turkish salmon.

According to 2024 data, a total of 60 thousand 686 tons of rainbow in Türkiye was produced, 20 thousand 540 tons of these were held in Sinop.
Turkish salmon, weighing 3.5-4 kg from fresh water to salt water, has high demand in European Union countries. Sinop is the largest Turkish salmon production center with a production rate of 33.8 %.
Sinop's representatives claimed that Sinop's success in the field of aquaculture has contributed greatly to the regional economy and emphasized that it plays an important role in doing. With an increase in global demand for Turkish salmon, it has been claimed that Sinop's position in the field of aquaculture will strengthen.
Sinop will continue to be the locomotive city of aquaculture industry with production capacity.
