In Spain, inflation increased to the highest level of years in July.
Spanish's annual consumer price inflation increased from 2.3 % to 2.7 % in June 2025, according to preliminary estimates and more than 2.6 % of the market expectations. This has the highest inflation rate since February and contrary to the decrease recorded in July 2024, mainly due to the increase in electricity prices. Fuel prices also contributed to increasing and increasing pressure in the same month last May. Meanwhile, core inflation, except for different ingredients such as food and energy, increased to the highest level in three months from 2.2 % to 2.3 %.
