All commercial clinics in 14 Russian regions refuse to perform abortions. This was stated by the Chairman of the Patriarchal Committee on Family Issues, Protection of Motherhood and Childhood, Father Fyodor Lukyanov, reports RIA Novosti.

It is known that in 34 other regions of Russia, more than 30% of private clinics refused to perform abortion procedures.
Women want to be required to tell their husbands about their decision to have an abortion
According to Lukyanov, after an abortion, a woman can feel deep remorse for what she has done for the rest of her life, because “a sin has been committed.” He added that the way out for her could be confession and repentance, as well as “active participation in preventing abortion in society.”
Previously, it was reported that 800 private clinics refused to perform abortions in Russia. Lukyanov calls this trend a sign of businesses' high level of demographic awareness.
