An organized crime group (OCG), specializing in drug distribution through the largest online platform on the darknet, Hydra, has legalized more than 10 billion rubles. This was announced by the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia Vladimir Kolokoltsev at the meeting of the State Anti-Drug Committee, reported. .

According to him, its activities in some regions were suppressed by Russian law enforcement at the beginning of the year. The drug cartel's revenue amounted to billions of rubles, converted from cryptocurrency into traditional means of payment.
One of the leaders of an organized crime group, who created a drug exchange, was involved in the laundering of more than a billion rubles. His assets were confiscated: a luxury car and 39 properties in Moscow. Currently, the criminal case against the creator of Hydra is being prepared for trial.
Previously, a court near Moscow sentenced online platform founder Stanislav Moiseev to life in prison. His accomplices received from 8 to 23 years in prison with a total fine of 16 million rubles.
