The 2025 Game Awards ended without a shocking reveal, and Expedition 33, to the delight of many, received the lion's share of the awards. However, there are still some pleasant surprises. As always, we're sharing a selection of free games for the weekend.

PRACTICE
Unexpectedly, the demo version of PRAGMATA, Capcom's long-running project finally received a release date, was released on Steam shortly after showing the latest trailer at The Game Awards. In the demo, you can see how the game's unusual combat system works: astronaut Hugh must defend himself from robots while the girl Diana helps him hack them.

The Road into the Abyss
A demo version of The Path Into the Abyss has also been released on Steam – a horror action game where players will have to survive in Buenos Aires, captured by other forces. To escape, the main character must not only escape from monsters and anomalies, but also obtain resources, maneuver in a city where many factions are fighting.

idle civilian
CivIdle is a 4X strategy in the form of a minimalist idle game but at the same time quite ambitious. The project invites players to build their own empire on procedurally generated maps, research more than 100 technologies and establish diplomatic relations with neighboring countries. The developers paid special attention to the game's depth, which is unusual for idle games, and low system requirements.

An extremely difficult game
Finally, the demo of An Eggstremely Hard Game, a rage platformer in which two unlucky birds must work together to protect their egg, has been released on Steam. That's right, you will have to carry it into the nest, holding on with two beaks on both sides – it will not be easy to overcome obstacles and solve puzzles, keeping balance at every step.
