The Game Awards take place next week, and it won't be long before we know which 2025 release will receive the award. Meanwhile, we've prepared a selection of traditional free games for the weekend.

Dark detective
The Epic Games Store is giving away The Darkside Detective: a nostalgic point-and-click mission about a detective investigating mysterious and paranormal cases. Francis McQuinn and his partner, Officer Patrick Dooley, will face cultists, mysterious people, mysterious plots and very strange events. The game can be downloaded for free until December 11.

Jackbox Jack Party 4
Also available on the Epic Games Store is Jackbox Party Jack 4, the fourth party game collection where players only need a mobile phone. The fourth collection includes games in which you need to criticize other people's Internet comments, draw graffiti, argue for stupid reasons, and find the perfect date while becoming a monster. Jackbox Party Jack 4 is also available to pick up until December 11.

Crusader group
A demo version of Band of Crusaders, a tactical RPG set in the dark Middle Ages, is available on Steam. Europe is overrun by demons and only the master of the knightly order can assemble a team of warriors to lead a crusade against evil spirits. Band of Crusaders features a dark world reminiscent of the Holy Grail universe and combat mechanics that users compare to Battle Brothers and Wartales.

The Queen's Domain
You can also try out the demo of Queen's Domain on Steam, another classic project inspired by the King's Field and Shadow Tower series. The main character, who finds himself on the shore of an unexplored island, must undertake a dangerous journey to find his father. The developers suddenly called the platform one of the main features of the game: players will be able to overcome obstacles with the help of the legendary sword, which will open up many new paths.
