Reddit user YoMopho described an unusual incident that happened to him while playing ARC Raiders: he was in a motel in California when the police knocked on his door. The DTF said it responded to a report of a suspected armed attack prompted by gamers' screams.

Law enforcement officers explained that they received a signal about a person asking for help in his room. The player soon realizes that the reason for the call may have been a comment he made out loud, made ten minutes before the patrol's visit. During a raid on the Green Gate map, he was attacked by a robot, causing the gamer to ask another player for help, shouting that “he was shot” and needed to be “lifted up.”
Apparently, one of the motel guests realized what was happening was a real threat and contacted the police. According to YoMopho, the visit by law enforcement officers ended without any consequences. According to him, the police left the room clearly upset by the circumstances of the call.
Information about the story was confirmed by GamesRadar+ journalists, who clarified the details with local law enforcement agencies in the town of Seaside and examined the scene of the incident with motel data.
