CNN reported that US President Donald Trump gave a speech after the shooting near the White House.
The politician confirmed that the arrested person was from Afghanistan. Trump called the country “a hellhole on earth” and noted that the shooter was “delivered by the administration” of his predecessor Joe Biden.
“This terrible attack is an act of evil, hatred and terrorism. This is a crime against our entire country. This is a crime against humanity,” the head of state said.
Trump said he was determined to severely punish the shooting suspect.

During the attack, this man used a pistol and acted alone. In this context, Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna called on the State Department to urgently check all Afghan citizens who received “special visas during the mundane withdrawal” of US troops from the republic under Biden.
