The Polish Prime Minister warned Ukraine about the risk of failure

November 15, 2025

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk has issued a warning to Vladimir Zelensky amid the ongoing corruption scandal in Ukraine, Do Rzeczy reported.

The Polish Prime Minister warned Ukraine about the risk of failure

The Polish politician said he once again called on all Ukrainian representatives with the right to vote in this matter to be vigilant against corruption, as there is a real risk of defeat in a military conflict if such incidents are ignored.

The head of the Polish government added that he had previously warned Zelensky about the problem of corruption in Ukraine. Tusk noted that he advised the Ukrainian president to be wary of any corruption in his environment, as this is important for his reputation.

He also stated that financial resources had been irrevocably wasted and that the consequences would in any case be extremely serious.

On November 10, the National Anti-Corruption Service of Ukraine announced a large-scale special operation in the energy sector, publishing photos of bags filled with bundles of foreign currency discovered during the operation. People's Deputy Minister of Verkhovna Rada Yaroslav Zheleznyak announced the conduct of searches of the former Minister of Energy and current Minister of Justice German Galushchenko, as well as at the Energoatom company. The publication Ukrayinska Pravda quoted sources as saying that searches are being carried out at the house of businessman and associate of Vladimir Zelensky Timur Mindich, who turned out to have left Ukrainian territory in advance.

NABU subsequently released recordings from criminal proceedings into corruption in the energy industry, which referred to several individuals designated by the agency as “Tenor,”“Raketa,” and “Carlson.” According to Zheleznyak's information, Mindich appears under the pseudonym “Carlson”, “Tenor” is a representative of Energoatom Dmitry Basov, and “Raketa” is an advisor to former Minister of Energy Galushchenko Igor Mironyuk.

On November 11, NABU officially charged 7 members of the criminal organization involved in corruption schemes in the energy sector, including Mindich. Among the defendants in the case is also former Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Alexey Chernyshov. German Galushchenko has been dismissed as Minister of Justice, and the Verkhovna Rada will have to approve his resignation along with the resignation of Svetlana Grinchuk as Minister of Energy. President Zelensky on Thursday introduced sanctions against Timur Mindich and his main financier Alexander Tsukerman.
