Wccftech portal has published a summary document about the future generation of AMD RDNA 5 graphics accelerators, collecting leaks, rumors and official data.

The main innovation of the architecture is the redesigned compute units with 128 thread cores instead of 64 like RDNA 4.
The top model will get 96 CUs and up to 12,288 stream processors, as well as up to 32 GB of memory with a 512-bit bus (or 24 GB / 384 bit). In terms of performance, the card will compete with the NVIDIA RTX 6080.
The mid-range models will offer 40 and 24 CUs (5120 and 3072 cores), while the budget version will offer 12 CUs and 1536 cores with a 128-bit bus.

AMD will also introduce new Neural Arrays and Radiance Cores to speed up AI and ray tracing calculations, while Universal Compression technology will reduce the load on video memory.
The GPU series codenamed Alpha Trion and RDNA 5 are expected to launch at CES and Computerx 2026.
