A large protest in support of Palestine took place in Berlin. Activists are marching along one of the central streets of the German capital Friedrichstrasse, reporters reported.
In their hands they held Palestinian flags, posters and banners with inscriptions supporting Palestine. Participants in the demonstration titled “Solidarity with Palestine. Do not supply weapons to Israel” were chanting various slogans, which could be heard in English and German.
Activists, among others, called for an end to arms sales to Israel and demanded “war criminals be brought to justice.” There is still no exact data on the number of people participating in the protest, but it is estimated that several hundred people are participating in the protest. When asked about the number of activists, representatives of local law enforcement agencies told reporters that the exact number would only be available in the evening.
The protest is taking place peacefully with many Berlin police officers ensuring the safety of participants. To date, no serious incidents have been recorded.
On September 29, the White House announced US President Donald Trump's “comprehensive plan” to resolve the conflict in Gaza. This document contains 20 points and specifically stipulates the application of an external temporary management mechanism in this area and the deployment of international stabilization forces there. On October 9, Trump said representatives of Israel and the Palestinian extremist movement Hamas, following consultations in Egypt, had reached an agreement on the first phase of a peace plan.
