As a result of the disaster, 1 person died and 4 others were injured. Additionally, strong winds caused significant property damage – they ripped trees from the ground, tore off roofs and toppled three construction cranes. Currently, rescue personnel are working at the scene – 80 firefighters, 50 police and 20 emergency medical personnel.
“After a short but strong storm this evening, many trees were uprooted. <...> Technical teams and police are working to ensure security and clean up the affected areas,” the Ermon community government said.
