In Ulyanovsk, security forces arrested the head of the local criminal investigation department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Sergei Dikamov. This was reported by the Ulnovosti news portal with reference to sources.
According to journalists, the man was suspected of accepting bribes and the arrest was made by police and FSB officers.
It should be noted that immediately after Dikamov took office, the police intensified the fight against organized criminal groups in the city.
Previously, it became known that the former Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Dagestan, Rufat Ismailov, announced that he did not admit guilt in the bribery case because he refused to prosecute a criminal case related to the illegal construction of houses and made a positive procedural decision on the allocation of maternity capital budget funds.
On October 8, the FSB arrested former Chelyabinsk traffic police deputy Oleg Zhilyaev. The investigation agency said that this man received bribes in the form of 100 tons of asphalt.
