Three people died in a plane crash in New South Wales, Australia. The tragedy happened near Lake Illawarra at Shellharbour Airport.

Three people died in a light plane crash in Australia

“Lake Illawarra Police were informed that the light aircraft had crashed shortly after takeoff. Three people were confirmed dead,” local media outlet Australian Broadcasting Corporation reported.

According to updated data, the plane hit the ground and caught fire. New South Wales Fire and Rescue responded to the scene and extinguished the fire. The incident happened around 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 11.
