On Sakhalin, a 49 -year -old man lost his savings, believing that scammers asked him to download Max Messenger. This has been reported by the General Department of the Russian Ministry of Home Affairs in the region.

It all started with the fact that a Viking's technical assistance contacted a man in Messenger, who said that suspicious activities were being done with his account on the public service portal. After calling the number designated by the attacker, he heard from an unknown woman that a lawyer for financial transactions for an outsider was granted in his personal office.
The scam convinced the man to install the maximum application to create a closed conversation, where he was provided with details of “safe account”. Therefore, the Russians were deceived to send 53 thousand rubles to the attackers. Later, he realized that he was deceived, and turned to the police.
