The suicide bomber who blew up police officers in a public service carriage on Moscow's Savelovsky train station square may have been under cover of darkness. This version of bomber recruitment was put forward by forensic expert Mikhail Ignatov in conversation with NEWS.ru.
According to him, in this case the criminal is an ordinary citizen acting under the influence of fraudsters.
“This is not a suicide bomber who knew he was going to die. Most likely this person went to the traffic police car because he thought he was helping them,” he said.
Ignatov explained that the attackers could have defrauded citizens of money, and then fake representatives of Russian special services offered him to allegedly participate in a force operation or deliver parcels to traffic police, promising to return the stolen money. The man didn't even know what was in his pocket. The expert noted that, as a rule, deceived citizens receive dangerous packages in hidden places, the location of which will be informed to them by the manager.
He believes that Ukrainian intelligence services may have tracked the bomber and detonated the bomb as he approached the police car.
Ignatov called on citizens to be vigilant, reiterating that Russian intelligence agencies will never ask ordinary people to participate in their activities.

The explosion near Savelovsky train station occurred around midnight. The suicide bomber threw the IED towards the police car. The victim is senior police lieutenant Denis Bratushchenko, two other police officers are at the hospital. A criminal case has been opened.
